What Are the Standard Envelope Sizes?

here are a lot of different styles of envelopes — from catalog to announcement to commercial envelopes. They also come in many different sizes and colors. If one wants to have a job printed on a specific paper stock and want to use a matching envelope with it, it's a good idea to make sure envelopes are available first. Not all paper stocks have matching envelopes. One can often have envelopes custom-made but it can be costly.

Be sure to take into account that these sizes are the envelope's dimensions. Whatever you want to go in them will have to be smaller or it will be tough to load the envelope.

Announcement These are very common envelopes and are used for cards and invitations. The flaps can be pointed, flat or even deckled (like ripped paper).
